Applications are invited from suitably qualified University Graduates to fill the following vacant posts currently available in the various Ministries/Departments as specified below. Applications should be submitted in triplicate on Public Service Form No. 3 (2008) to the Secretary, Public Service Commission, P.O. Box 7080, Kampala to be received not later than 22nd October 2010.

Applications should bear the title of the post as well as the Reference Number specified against the vacancy. Applicants should attach three sets of certified photocopies of their academic certificates and transcripts.
Applicants should attach three (3) recent certified passport size photographs and should apply for a maximum of only two (2) posts clearly indicating the first and second choice on the application form.
Officers already appointed in the Public Service shall not be considered.

AGE : 21 YEARS AND ABOVE
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
Applicants should be Ugandans holding an Honours Bachelor’s Degree in Science (B.Sc.) such as in the fields of Biology or Chemistry from a recognized Institution. Possession of a certificate in Counseling/Guidance from a recognized Institution will be an added advantage.
Duties:
The incumbent will be responsible to the Commissioner, Criminalistics Department for performing the following duties:-
· Providing factual information, psychological and social support to a wide range of clients with regard to parentage and drugs abuse issues.
· Conducting pre and post counseling to clients.
· Carrying out sampling of blood/bucall swabs for DNA analysis for human identification, paternity and criminal cases.
· Carrying out blood/urine sampling for drug screening, alcohol intoxication and possible drug overdose.
· Maintaining a first aid facility and providing first aid to Members of staff at work place.
· Any other duties as may be assigned from time to time.
