GTZ under the UNHCR/BMZ Partnership Programme invites applications from suitably qualified person to fill the following position:
Job title: Monitoring and Evaluation Officer
Location: Kampala (with constant field visits)
Reports to: Country Program Manager
Essential Criteria:
• A relevant University Degree in a related field.
• Training in Qualitative and Quantitative data collection
• Understands the UNHCR communication and organizational structures
• Is familiar with UNHCR / GTZ specific planning, implementation and reporting procedures and its changes
• Excellent inter-personal and communication skills, self motivated, proactive and practical mentality.
• Capacity to multi task and follow-up on various M and E Plans
• Experience and willingness to work and consistently travel to the field.
Detailed Terms of Reference:
Under the general supervision of the Country Program Manager, the M and E Officer will be responsible for delivering and managing high quality and transparent M and E procedures to GTZ.
The incumbent is responsible for
• Independent management of Monitoring and Evaluation according to project goals, team agreements and with the supervisor,
• Support of the project's/program's initiative to provide professional advice and input to, and to cooperate with, a broad range of target groups,
• Innovation and knowledge management as well as transmission of innovation to a wide range of persons, and
• Integration of results and experiences into team efforts and into all relevant groups
• Supp Supports the Management drawing monitoring and Evaluation work plans
• Supports the effective implementation of the M and E strategy
• orts the organization of the quarterly narrative reports
• Collect and compile data into monthly reports on programme activities to track key output and performance indicators on monthly and quarterly basis.
• Monitoring of project activities and outcomes
• Supporting the project team in co-coordinating project activities
Other Criteria:

• Has a strong sense for integrity, trustworthiness, self motivation, and good communication, interpersonal and reporting skills and is able to work with a team.
