CPAR -UGANDA is an indigenous Non- Governmental Organization (NGO) that has been working in the Northern Part of Uganda in the districts of Gulu, Apac, Pader, Lira, Kitgum and now in Abim. Under DanChurchAid funding, CPAR-Uganda will be implementing a livelihoods project in Abim District-Karamoja Sub-region which is aimed at equipping farmers with production skills and techniques and addressing some health related aspects. CPAR-Uganda is therefore looking for qualified and competent Ugandans to fill the following positions.
Job Title: Project Officer
Location: duty Station: Abim
Overall Responsibility: Reporting to the Program Manager at field level and Program Officer at head office, the Project Officer is responsible for supporting the overall community based implementation by planning, reviewing and monitoring all project activities at field level and continuously liaising with the Program Manager and CPAR-Uganda's Program Officer in charge of Livelihoods.
Specific Responsibilities:
a. Ability to organize farmers into groups for purposes of various trainings b.Direct implementation of project activities at the community level by working with sector focal
persons, c. Develop work plans and prepare detailed reports on project activities.
Qualifications, skills and experience: a. Bachelors' degree in Agriculture or a related field with relevant experience of 2-3 years b. Diploma in Agriculture with 3 years experience in integrated Food Security and health interventions will also be considered c. Work with NGOs in similar activities and among others, the ability to communicate in the local language will be an added advantage.
