Qualifications:
• Must be a trained Mid- wife at registered level in or its equivalent from a recognized Institution.
• Must be registered with the Nurses and Midwives Council.

Duties:
• Receiving patients, register admissions, discharges and deaths.
• Carrying out antenatal care with emphasis on identifying high risk cases and refer them to hospital.
• Providing care during labour with emphasis on keeping proper records, use drugs and prevention of complications to mother and baby.
• Providing care during puerperium with emphasis on prevention of infection and ensure successful breast feeding.
• Participating in Doctors/Clinical Officers Ward rounds.
• Compiling daily ward reports and hand over to in-coming shift.
