Job title: Project Officer – Research, Publications, Advocacy (M & E)
We are looking for an exceptional candidate ready to take up an exciting new role with International Alert in Uganda. Reporting to the Senior Programme Officer, the holder of this position must be able to: build relationships and partnerships; conduct advocacy and dialogue with project targets; produce high quality research; and contribute to strategic directions for the work. S/he will also contribute to wider Great Lakes Programme objectives.
You will have at least 2 years’ experience of implementing research and dialogue programmes for development peace building organisations/ NGOs in Uganda, some project management experience, experience in conducting field research, networking and advocacy on political issues, as well as management of partner relationships with other organisations. You will also have a clear understanding of conflict issues in Uganda.
You are in addition an excellent communicator, highly efficient, with strong inter-personal skills, experience in conducting field research around Uganda; as well as having a commitment to the overall aims and objectives of International Alert.
