Assistant Director Job in Uganda at Insurance Regulatory Authority

Job Title: Assistant Director, Market Research and Development

Reports to: Director Operations

Purpose of the Job:
To ensure research and market development are carried out effectively

Main Duties:
• Plan, design, and conduct collaborative research and surveys on insurance industry performance, trends, business and risks to address the challenges faced by the sector
• Develop and implement monitoring systems for tracking fundamental economic, financial and corporate developments in insurance industry both locally and internationally in order to inform policy formulators
• Ensure that the data from the insurance industry are collected, verified and analyzed and interpreted and periodic reports such as annual statistical reports are produced

Person Specifications:
• A relevant Degree from a recognized University with an MBA (Marketing) or related post graduate qualification
• At least 5 years experience in Research and development
• Knowledge of insurance is added advantage
