Job Title: Inspection Officer Health
Reports to: Manager Health insurance

Purpose of the Job:
To ensure compliance with the provisions of Insurance Act (Cap 213) Laws of Uganda, 2000 and the Regulations thereof

Major Responsibilities:
• Carryout off-site and on-site inspection of Health Membership Organizations, Insurance companies, agencies, branches and insurance brokers who/ which underwrite / place health insurance business
• Respond to and follow-up on issues raised in inspection and other correspondence with insurance players
• Monitor the implementation of the provisions of the Insurance Act and advises on the adequacy of the law and regulations

Person Specifications:
• A degree in Insurance, Business Administration, Statistics, Math and economics from a recognized University with passes in at least 4 papers (120 credits) of CII or its equivalent
• At least 3 years experience in health insurance underwriting
