Job Title: Internal Auditor
Reports to: Executive Director Administratively and Finance Committee of the Board of Trustees Technically
Duty station: Head office-Kampala

Job summary:
To assist management in reviewing, documenting and enhancing existing accounting and operational controls of the organization's administrative and Programmatic Activities.

Key Outputs:
1. Internal Control System in place for effective and efficient management of assets, prevention of fraud, waste, thefts, pilferages, neglect and carelessness
2. Internal audit reports prepared and submitted to Executive Director
3. Correspondence sent to various managers communicating expert advice meant to improve the management of financial resources and administration
4. Assets maintained in conformity with established policies, regulations and procedures
5. Conformity with terms and conditions of service assessed
6. Activities with external auditors to support their audit and review procedures and ensure compliance with 0MB-
Qualifications and skills required:
• A Bachelors degree preferably in B.Com (Accounting) or BBA
• CPA, ACA, ACCA or CIA certifications a must
• Proven success in managing risk and mitigating losses,
• Expert knowledge of regulatory compliance and reporting including GAAP, professional audit standards and best practices in internal control systems,
• Strong written, verbal communication and interpersonal skills,
• Critical-thinking, and problem solving skills,
• Able to work well under pressure and with minimum supervision,
• Minimum of 10 years of related work experience with NGOs with extensive knowledge of NGO rules and regulations e.g. OMB-Circulars,
• 35-45 years of age
