Job Title: ICT Officer
Reports to: Finance and Administration Manager
Duty Station: Head office-Kampala.

Job summary:
To develop and maintain a sound information communication and technology system for PREFA

Key Result Area:
1. Basic systems security administration functions performed, including creating staff profiles and accounts,
2. Ensure that all computers have up-to-date functional antivirus, Schedule regular service for equipment with specialized service providers,
3. Prepare IT operating guidelines and procedures, Maintain system documentation and logs, Perform or assist in troubleshooting and diagnosing problems; correct identified problems,
4. Perform systems administration functions for the head office and district offices, Maintain application security, event investigations and compliance enforcement, Administer secure links with public key encryption, anti-virus, user authentication and intrusion detection,
5. Provide monitoring and primary response and intervention for information technology related security incidents and violations, Document LAN network related policies and procedures including security, Keep current with new Information Technology Security protocols, applicable laws and regulations,
6. Monitor and manage system resources, including CPU usage, disk usage, and response times to maintain operating efficiency, perform other related duties as assigned.

Qualification and job specifications:
• A Bachelor's Degree in Management Information Systems, or Computer Science or closely related field.
• Certification in MCSE or MCDBA.
• Strong operating system and network knowledge
• Minimum of 3 years professional work experience.
• 30-45 years of age
